Yom Teruah 2013 Feast of Trumpets Celebration

On the seventh new moon on the first day of the new moon, the Torah commands us to observe the holy day of Yom Teruah (Leviticus 23:23-25; Numbers 29:1-6).

On 7th September 2013 sunset Israel time, the new moon (as per biblical definition, not scientific definition) was sighted in Israel. Similarly, between 6:00 PM and 6:45 PM the new moon was sighted by messianic Jews from Brisbane. The sky was so clear that we could see the new moon completely. We thank Yehoshua HaMashiach our Elohim for a clear sky to view the new moon.

A banquet dinner was arranged to celebrate Yom Teruah and the blowing of the Shofar was done by all believers as per Psalms 81:3.

"Blow a shofar in the New Moon, in the covering for the day of our festival." (Psalms 81:3). Photos of the Yom Teruah celebration in Brisbane are shown below.
