Passover is one of the greatest celebrations in the scriptures. It is the celebration of deliverance of God’s people from bondage of this world. During the time of Patriarchs, it was a shadow picture of the Messiah Yehoshua who would come one day to sacrifice His life to save (as our Saviour and Redeemer) the world from its sins. Hence, Passover is the most important celebration that we can find in the scriptures.

On the 14th day of Aviv 6013 (NISAN 5773), followers of Yehoshua HaMashiach celebrated Passover in Brisbane. The Passover celebration started with prayer and reading of the Torah, Exodus 12:1-51 and the Messianic Writings, Matthew 26:26-29.

Blessed are you Yehowah our Elohim Yehoshua HaMashiach, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us from among the nations and who has given us your Torah and the Renewed Covenant.

The Passover celebration was done with the roasting of a whole lamb (a perfect male lamb less than one year free from defects), unleavened bread (matzah), bitter herbs and red wine. Other foods included dips (like hummus, Baba ghanoush) and fruits (like grapes, dates, plums).

Photos of the Passover celebration are shown above which includes preparing the lamb for the Passover which is the most important part of the Pesah celebration.
